SUMMARY:D-Day: The Greatest Military Operation in History
DESCRIPTION:Join Major Hugo White for a talk in the Morrab Library Reading Room about the Normandy landings. \nHugo White was born into a military family and grew up in India. He joined the army when he was 18 and started his career with The Coldstream Guards and trained at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. In 1950 he was commissioned into the Somerset Light Infantry. After leaving the Army in 1979 he was invited to reorganise the Regimental Museum in Bodmin. \nWe will allocate tickets by a ballot system. Please register your interest and the number of tickets required by Thursday 19th May by email (enquiries@morrablibrary.org.uk) or telephone. We will then draw out names and let you know if you have been successful.
