DESCRIPTION:Plants are amazing – aren’t they? But\, when you look through a magnifying glass a whole new world opens up before your eyes. All the beautiful details of a plant can be seen through the lens.\nCome along to Morrab Library on Thursday 13th April to meet Book Artist and Authorial Illustrator\, Vicki Aimers\, and make a simple botanical inspired sketchbook. Then\, stay a while to fill it with studies of plants and wildflowers using a magnifying glass.\nAlso learn more about Vicki’s project and her artist’s residency in August at the Library\, exploring the fascinating life and ideas of a local Quaker preacher Catherine Payton Phillips (1727-1794)\, and especially her love for nature.\nBooking is essential\, contact the library to reserve your place. There are three sessions of 45 minutes each -11.00-11.45\,11.45-12.30 or 1.15-2.00.\n
