SUMMARY:Creative Writing Workshop for 12-16 year olds | Ghost Story Writing with Bridget Crowley
DESCRIPTION:The Morrab Library doesn’t have a ghost\, but what if it did? \nIn this creative writing workshop\, we will use the wonderful old house\, The Morrab Library\, and some of the treasures within\, as the starting point for writing our very own ghost stories. \nBridget Crowley is the author of five children’s books\, three of which feature ghosts. In this workshop for 12-16 year olds\, Bridget will share some tips for writing a story that thrills and chills\, builds suspense and draws from real places and history to create the setting and character or a compelling plot. Bridget’s latest book ‘Wake Up Mr Kean’ is set in The Old Theatre in Penzance and her ghost is famous actor Edmund Kean who really performed there in the early 19th Century. \nThe workshop will take place in the Reading Room. Booking is essential. All materials and refreshments will be provided. \nEntry is free but donations are welcome to support The Morrab Library (suggested £5).
