DESCRIPTION:Sue Johns will be reading at the Morrab library on Saturday 26th April\, 10.30 – 12.30 \nSue Johns is one of the strongest voices in the contemporary London poetry scene\, and she has published five poetry collections.  In April she will be returning to her roots as she was born in Penzance.  She is delighted to be performing in the unique environment of the Morrab library. \nThis event will also be the launch of the Loose Muse anthology 2014.  This anthology celebrates the work of contemporary women writers in all genres … and this spring saw the first Loose Muse event in Penzance. \nEntry to the event is free\, but we do ask for a donation of £2.00 to support the work of Morrab library.

DESCRIPTION:The Morrab Library will host our annual book and postcard fair in St. John’s Hall\, Penzance on Saturday 21st September 2013 from 10am until 4pm. \nThis well-established and popular event will again see many booksellers and dealers from throughout the South West manning their stalls of new\, second-hand and antiquarian books. \nThis year the Morrab Library will have an additional table entirely devoted to books about Cornwall. \nIt is a wonderful opportunity for people to rummage and browse through thousands of books\, pamphlets and postcards and met friends. This is the place to find new interests and possibly that wonderful book\, which you read so many years ago\, and then forgot the title and the author! \nLight refreshments will be available throughout the day and\, as usual\, there will be a raffle. \nIf you love books then this is the place to be\, and to be seen\, on Saturday 21st of September. \nPLEASE NOTE: As a result of the fair the Library will be closed on Saturday 21st September.
