The library relies heavily on its volunteers – without them we wouldn’t be able to open our doors. From Governance to making the refreshments, our wonderful volunteers undertake a staggering range of tasks.

They work at our circulation desk and welcome visitors, and take on more specialist roles such as cataloguing, IT maintenance, conservation of the collections, and digitising the photo archives collection. Ranging in age from 14 to 90, and from a variety of backgrounds, our volunteers are the heart and soul of The Morrab Library.

From time to time, new volunteering opportunities arise and we will advertise these vacancies to our members. So keep an eye out for chances to join the team when we make the call.
