This summer, The Morrab Library in Penzance is running its bi-annual short story writing competition for children living in Cornwall.
The free to enter competition is now open for original entries from young people aged 4 – 16.
The competition does not have a theme, to allow creativity across all genres, styles and subject matter, but stories must be your own work and written in under 1000 words.
Closing date: Friday 11th July 2025 (4pm).
We hope you enjoy writing a story for The Morrab Library Children’s Short Story Competition 2025! The Morrab Library team and competition judges wish you the very best of luck with your writing!
