As this month is the lead up to Halloween (or Allantide - also known as Saint Allan's Day or the Feast of Saint Allan, a Cornish festival that was traditionally celebrated on the night of 31 October) we thought we would highlight some Cornish folklore related items from our collection.

These images and books from our collection will link to stories, costumes, traditions and more, so keep your eyes peeled.

Found in our Jenner Room - the first in this little series is a book all about the Hobby Horse! The essay concentrates on Padstow, but also dives into other locations with their versions of the tradition.
