Pop in to The Morrab Library on Friday 6th Decembe Pop in to The Morrab Library on Friday 6th December for a festive decoration making workshop with artist Rebecca Harvey. Rebecca is one half of our current Artists in Residence duo and has recently installed a beautiful floral display over one of the windows in our Reading Room to celebrate the festive season. Nestled within the display you may have spotted some lovely ceramic Christmas ornaments, made by Rebecca, and this workshop will be a chance to adorn your own tree decoration. The workshop will take place in the Art Room, between 1pm-3pm, and is drop-in. Members and non-members alike of all ages are welcome. Suggested donation £5, includes materials. Link in bio

Poet Lucy Sparrow and ceramicist Rebecca Harvey (@rebeccaharveyceramics ) spent time exploring and responding to the wonders of this special place over the course of a year. You’re warmly invited to an illustrated talk and conversation discussing their time spent as Artists in Residence, as well as a reading of Lucy’s poems. This year, our Photo Archive team has produced a b This year, our Photo Archive team has produced a beautiful calendar using photographs from our historic collection featuring the people of Penwith, including this photo for July of the True Love boat built by Mr Ellis on Camberwell Street in 1906. The calendar is priced at £10 and it is available to purchase from the Library. We are also happy to send the calendars in the post with a small additional fee for postage.
