‘Miles for The Morrab’
During September, we’re inviting members and the wider community to walk the beautiful Penwith peninsula.
The full route covers more than 50 miles of spectacular coastline and countryside, starting and finishing at The Morrab Library, but it’s been divided into ten (approximately) 5-6 mile sections so you can take part in whatever way suits you.
Walk one section or all ten. Walk with friends, family, your dog, or simply enjoy some time outdoors. You don’t need to be an experienced walker, and if five miles feels too much, you’re very welcome to choose a shorter distance.
We invite participants, members and the wider community to support the campaign by donating and sharing it with friends and family. Together, we’re aiming to raise at least £5,000 to help safeguard the future of The Morrab Library.
The Crowdfunder is now live: Click HERE.
If you aren’t able to participate, perhaps you might consider making a simple donation, or choosing one of our rewards to give your support a more personal connection to the library. From gifting a membership, sponsoring a bookshelf or helping us fund practical essentials like new reading lamps, conservation materials, or even a new Henry Hoover, every reward directly supports the day-to-day running of The Morrab.
Whether you walk, donate or simply help spread the word, your support will make a real difference
Trustee Bertie Herrtage has his walking boots on & is ready to go!

Click here to fill in the ‘expression of interest’ form to let us know if you’d like to join in or you can email Bertie (bertie.herrtage.trustee@morrablibrary.org.uk) if you have any questions about the challenge.
Throughout September we’ll track everyone’s progress on the map (above) which will be displayed in the library’s kitchen, celebrating each completed section as, together, we make our way around West Penwith.
