We have a high quality reproduction of the 1841 ma We have a high quality reproduction of the 1841 map of the Borough of Penzance at the Library. Original, pictured here, can be found displayed in the Library. 

The map shows how the modern Borough boundary was drawn with a compass, as a semi circle, with no connection at all to existing ancient field boundaries

Mark Beeson (1954-2022) was trained as a classicis Mark Beeson (1954-2022) was trained as a classicist and primatologist, and founded the Manaton & East Dartmoor Theatre. His greatest legacy is his creative and ecological writing of poetry and plays relating to Dartmoor.

Tim discussed his fortuitous meetings with Liza in the summer of 1975, and later with Anne, speaking of their friendship and adventures.
