The Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital in Mousehole, fou The Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital in Mousehole, founded by the remarkable sisters Dorothy and Pog Yglesias, who dedicated their lives to saving wild birds, is nearly 100 years old. This is an image from the hospital in 1955 with a carer tending to an injured seabird.

There is an event tonight which includes presentations, refreshments, a beautiful short film (Skyward) by Jessica Bishopp and 1920s-40s music with Jollity Farm. For more info check the link in bio.

We're looking forward to our ‘Super Winter Story We're looking forward to our ‘Super Winter Storytime’ on Thursday 21st December, when Jak Stringer will be reading Nick Butterworth's Percy The Park Keeper Story, 'One Snowy Night'.

Wear something white & we’ll conjure up the magic of a snowy day with a story & activity. This is a journey for 4 to 8-year-olds but there will also be refreshments provided for the grown-ups that they bring along (all children will need to be accompanied by an adult).

Booking is essential & all the details can be found over on our website (link in bio). Entry to this event is free but donations are welcomed to help support the Library (suggested £5).
