Adventure in the Andes: Life Cycle biodiversity bike ride

11/10/2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Our next Library talk comes from former university lecturer turned eco-adventurer, Kate Rawles. Kate cycled the length of South America on a bike made of bamboo from the Eden Project she built herself. En route she explored biodiversity: what it is, what’s happening to it and why losing it amounts to as great a threat as climate change. Join us to hear about the brilliant and brave activists Kate met; the highs and lows of the journey; and above all, what we can all do.

Her talk will be taking place in the Reading Room on Wednesday 11th October at 2pm. Tickets are allocated by a ballot system. Please email enquiries@morrablibrary.org.uk or call 01736 364474 to be entered into the ballot for a ticket. The ballot closes on Monday 2nd October.

Entry to this event is free but donations are welcomed to help support Morrab Library (suggested £5). Refreshments will be provided after the talk.
