Penzance Old Cornwall Society Open Day
October 10 @ 10:00 - 15:00

Celebrate 100 Years of the Archives of the Penzance Old Cornwall Society
On display at The Morrab Library, Saturday 10 October, 10am to 3pm.
Since its formation in 1926, the Penzance Old Cornwall Society has kept an eclectic record of its activities, key events in Penzance, and the varied interests of its members.
From minutes of its first meeting and involvement in the first Gorsedd Kernow, to pilgrimages, photographs and the script of the opera Iernin (George Lloyd’s first opera inspired by the Nine Maidens which premiered in Penzance in 1934), the life of the town has been recorded and archived.
The items from the archive on display are as varied as the town of Penzance.
Drop in any time between 10.00am and 3.00pm to view the archives, and to speak with members of the Penzance Old Cornwall Society.
We look forward to seeing you there.
