Celebrated on the first Sunday in May every year, it represents the coming of summer and the end of winter.

Our Librarian Lisa attended the annual meeting of the Independent Libraries Association, of which the Morrab is a proud member, last Friday at the wonderful Portico Library in Manchester.

Our Trustee Bertie Herrtage also joined the meeting to talk about fundraising through crowdfunding.

The ILA links independent libraries across the UK, providing an important means of supporting each other.
