We’re delighted to announce that Arizona based poet Jodie Hollander is the Morrab Library’s Poet in Residence for a month from 15th April to 10th May.

During her residency Jodie will be running a workshop per week (across different themes), giving a poetry reading, and concluding with a Poetry Open Mic afternoon tea in the Reading Room. Find out more about these events via the link in our bio.

We’re thrilled that novelist Emylia Hall will be returning to the Library on Wednesday 9th April to introduce us to 'The Arts Trail Killer,’ the fifth novel in her bestselling Shell House Detectives mystery series.

With the book hot off the press, learn how the author keeps coming up with her twisty plots, how the landscape directly inspires her, and what's next for her super sleuths, Ally and Jayden.

Tickets are allocated by a ballot system. Please email enquiries@morrablibrary.org.uk or call 01736 364474 to be entered into the ballot for a ticket. The ballot closes on Monday 31st March.

Entry to this event is free but donations are welcomed to help support The Morrab Library (suggested £5).

We had a wonderful week hosting Vicki Aimers' residency at the library, culminating in a wonderful talk and stitching workshop on Saturday.

Vicki’s daughter has designed a colouring and sewing activity sheet for children which is available to collect from the library.

The Morrab Library Spring Fair will take place on

The Morrab Library Spring Fair will take place on Saturday 12th April from 10am until 2pm.

As always, there will be stalls throughout the Library featuring many local makers showcasing their crafts, as well as plants, second-hand books and historic photos for sale, alongside our raffle. The much-loved refreshments room will return with delicious homemade cakes. Some of the stalls will be cash only, so please bring some change along with you to help support your library.

Members and non-members alike are all welcome, so please bring friends and family along too.

We hope to see you there!

@vickiaimers Artist Residency is now underway in the Library!

Vicki will be based in the Elizabeth Treffry Room for the week (11th-15th March) where she will be collecting stories in paper, fabric, collage & stitch.

Pop in between 10am-4pm to see Vicki's work, chat to her & share your stories of school days, inspirational teachers in a broad sense, & memories of needlework.

There are still a handful of spaces remaining on Vicki Aimers’ workshops next week. On Wednesday she will be running two half-day sessions of journalling and collage. The theme of this relaxed workshop is ‘valuing your day’ – a chance to value yourself through moments of self-reflection and creativity.
