Women philosophers are often overlooked due to the patriarchal dominance of ideas over the last two millennia. This course will celebrate the contributions made by female philosophers in the ancient world, including Ban Zhao and Hypatia. This is the first in a series of half-day courses on Great Women Philosophers from antiquity to modernity.
