Songwriting poet and children’s author Sally Crabtree has been delighting audiences at festivals around the world with her colourful and quirky performances of ‘The Poetree’ – a magical copper tree in whose branches are the most strange and wonderful fruits imaginable. Pick something off the tree and listen to the song, story or poem it inspires. Join Sally for a family workshop at The Morrab Library on Saturday 1st June (10am – 12.30pm) where you can discover some of the stories behind each object, make your own edible poetry, create an objet d’art and Word Bird book. Be inspired to write a poem on seeded paper – when you plant it, your poem will grow into a flower. This family workshop is aimed at children aged 7+, children must be accompanied by an adult.
How to book: It is FREE to attend but booking is essential: please email enquiries@morrablibrary.org.uk or call The Morrab Library on 01736 364474 to book a place.
