If you've been in our Jenner Room of late, where a If you've been in our Jenner Room of late, where all of the Cornish treasures are housed, you may have noticed how lovely and tidy it's all looking. 

That's down to our brilliant volunteer Linda, who has spent many weeks diligently sorting, reshelving and sprucing up the collections. It's a heroic effort, as she thought it would only take a couple of days! Thank you Linda.

You may have heard that the Cornish language – Ker You may have heard that the Cornish language – Kernewek – is getting the highest level of protection under a European treaty. It will now have Part Three status, the same as Welsh, Irish Gaelic and Scots Gaelic. This means Kernewek will be officially recognised and safeguarded for the future.

A reminder that you can borrow books in the Cornish language, and about how to learn Kernewek, from the library.
